Does the word technology create anxiety? Many challenges confront therapists today that force us to stretch our thinking. Technology can be intimidating, yet it is a reality of life in the 21rst century. This conference will look at Telemental health and the law in the state of Georgia. This conference will consider the scope of telemental health, legal and ethical issues, and assessment tools. It will also integrate the role of HIPAA, HI-TECH, and PIPEDA into the decision making process of telemental health services. Resources will be provided including one that will allow you to obtain evidence-based references and resources for tele-mental health. We will also include video links that will be shared teaching you how to do encryption and other features necessary for ethical telemental health practice.
